DWI WHILE SUSPENDED

THERE ARE ENHANCED PENALTIES IF A DRIVER IS CAUGHT DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED FOR DWI.

If a driver is caught and thereafter convicted, the court must;

  1. Fine you $500.
  2. Suspend your driving privileges for one to two years.
  3. Order your imprisonment in the county jail for 10 to 90 days.
If you have an accident and someone is hurt while your license is suspended, you must also serve a mandatory 45 day jail sentence.
